Why Gracenotes

What makes this
different.

Most music classes teach songs. We build musicians. Here's what that looks like in practice.

Graded curriculum, not random lessons

Each instrument has a clear syllabus — Grade 1 through advanced — designed by performing musicians. You always know where your child stands and what comes next.

Built-in practice tools that kids actually use

Our in-house MIDI trainers, interactive apps, and gamified exercises replace the "did you practise?" argument. Students track streaks, earn milestones, and stay consistent without being pushed.

Trinity & MTB exam preparation

We prepare students for internationally recognised graded exams from Trinity College London and MTB. Not as an afterthought — it's baked into the curriculum from day one.

Online classes that actually work

Not a Zoom call with sheet music held up to a camera. Our online setup uses screen-shared interactive tools, real-time MIDI feedback, and structured lesson plans — the same rigour as in-person.

Small batches, personal attention

Group classes are capped at 4-5 students. Every student gets individual feedback every session. If your child is stuck on something, we catch it that week — not three months later.

Stage-ready, not just exam-ready

Regular showcases, recitals, and performance workshops. We train students to play in front of people — not just pass a test. Confidence is part of the curriculum.

For NRI Families

Living abroad?
Your child can still learn properly.

Finding structured Indian music training outside India is hard. Finding it in English, with a real curriculum and exam prep, is nearly impossible. That's exactly what we do.

Your hours, not ours

Classes fit around your timezone. Evenings in Toronto, mornings in Dubai, weekends in London — we make it work.

Same syllabus everywhere

No watered-down version for online students. The curriculum, tools, and exam prep are identical whether you're in Kolkata or Calgary.

Roots without the commute

Keep your children connected to Indian musical traditions without having to find a local teacher who may not follow a proper structure.

Every class is in English. No exceptions.

If your child has grown up speaking English, they won't struggle to follow along here. All instruction, materials, and feedback are in English — so the focus stays on music, not translation.

Gracenotes completely changed the way I understand music. The interactive tools and games make learning theory so much easier, and I've seen real improvement in my confidence and performance. It doesn't feel like regular classes — it feels inspiring.

As a parent, I was looking for structured training, not just hobby classes. Gracenotes offers discipline, personal attention, and visible growth. The digital study materials and practice support make a big difference.

Being outside India, I wanted something that kept me connected to strong musical foundations. Gracenotes gives me that balance of classical discipline and modern creativity. The in-house learning tools are honestly brilliant.

I've tried traditional music lessons before, but this feels completely different. The gamified training and structured approach make progress measurable. It's professional, yet very personal.

My daughter looks forward to every class. The growth in her rhythm and understanding is noticeable. What I appreciate most is that the system is thoughtfully designed — not random online teaching, but real education.

I started guitar here two years ago with zero knowledge. Now I'm preparing for my Trinity Grade 3 exam. The practice tools they built in-house are something I haven't seen anywhere else — they actually make you want to practise.

We tried three different online teachers before Gracenotes. The difference is night and day. There's a proper syllabus, progress tracking, and my son actually retains what he learns between classes.

As someone learning sitar in my 30s, I needed a teacher who could explain things clearly in English without dumbing it down. Gracenotes nailed that balance. The structured grading system keeps me accountable.

Both my kids learn piano and violin here. What sold me was the MTB exam preparation — they passed their first grades within eight months. The teachers genuinely care about each student's progress.
